Dear
Friends,
While the whole
of China is at the final stages of preparing for Olympics
Beijing 2008, his sculpture “Collaborate”
is shaping up well and scheduled for completion end July.
This date coincides well with the celebrations for the
opening ceremony of the Olympics on August 8, 2008.
Standing at 4.2m
tall, “Collaborate” serves as a focal point
of a new park designed by a well-known American firm Mix
Studio Works. Sitting in the middle of the park, close
to the junction of Guang Hwa and Third Ring roads, “Collaborate”
has famous neighbours with the headquarters of CCTV to
the East, Kerry Center to the West and China World Trade
Center to the South.
As a Singaporean,
China is Yu-li’s motherland and he is proud to play
his part in the Olympics Beijing 2008
